Job Summary

The Product Manager at Nox Metals is responsible for transforming ideas into operational solutions within the company's products: NOX NEST, WAYNE, and GONDOR. The ideal candidate will prioritize features based on their impact on the factory floor, ensuring rapid deployment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product end-to-end across NOX NEST, WAYNE, and GONDOR, including ideation, specification, development, deployment, and iteration.
  • Walk every new feature through the factory, engaging with operators, schedulers, and buyers to understand user needs and usability.
  • Write tight specifications that engineers can implement without extensive clarification, and ship small changes personally when necessary.
  • Prioritize features ruthlessly, focusing on delivering high-quality, impactful releases quickly.
  • Conduct weekly product reviews and manage the operating cadence of the team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience, shipping real software to real users.
  • A strong systems thinker who can break down complex problems and create clear specifications.
  • Comfortable in code, able to read PRs and ship small changes independently.
  • A bias for action, willing to ship a working version of a feature even if it's not perfect.
  • Experience working on the factory floor, understanding the challenges and needs of operators, schedulers, and buyers.
  • Proficient with AI tools, modern software, and data, able to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs, creating features that operators, schedulers, buyers, and customers will actually use.
  • A high level of personal agency and low ego, able to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
  • A commitment to safety, following all protocols and never compromising safety standards.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours when required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Background in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial environments.
  • Experience shipping software for shop floors or other physical operations.
  • A light coding background, including scripting, SQL, or experience building prototypes.

Benefits

  • Opportunity for long-term career growth within a dynamic and innovative company.
  • Full-time position, in-person in Detroit.
