Job Summary
The Product Manager at Nox Metals is responsible for transforming ideas into operational solutions within the company's products: NOX NEST, WAYNE, and GONDOR. The ideal candidate will prioritize features based on their impact on the factory floor, ensuring rapid deployment and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own the product end-to-end across NOX NEST, WAYNE, and GONDOR, including ideation, specification, development, deployment, and iteration.
- Walk every new feature through the factory, engaging with operators, schedulers, and buyers to understand user needs and usability.
- Write tight specifications that engineers can implement without extensive clarification, and ship small changes personally when necessary.
- Prioritize features ruthlessly, focusing on delivering high-quality, impactful releases quickly.
- Conduct weekly product reviews and manage the operating cadence of the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience, shipping real software to real users.
- A strong systems thinker who can break down complex problems and create clear specifications.
- Comfortable in code, able to read PRs and ship small changes independently.
- A bias for action, willing to ship a working version of a feature even if it's not perfect.
- Experience working on the factory floor, understanding the challenges and needs of operators, schedulers, and buyers.
- Proficient with AI tools, modern software, and data, able to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- A deep understanding of customer needs, creating features that operators, schedulers, buyers, and customers will actually use.
- A high level of personal agency and low ego, able to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
- A commitment to safety, following all protocols and never compromising safety standards.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours when required to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Background in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial environments.
- Experience shipping software for shop floors or other physical operations.
- A light coding background, including scripting, SQL, or experience building prototypes.
