About The Role
The role drives the strategy, roadmap, and execution for core platform APIs and developer tools that power both internal services and third-party integrations. This position sits at the intersection of complex technical infrastructure and user-centric product design, ensuring high system reliability while delivering a seamless developer experience. Working closely with engineering, architecture, and business operations teams, the role translates high-level strategic goals into prioritized backlogs and technical specifications. This is an opportunity to define the next-generation APIs and data pipelines that support millions of API calls daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-quarter product roadmap for API platforms, developer tools, and backend orchestration services.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and API contract designs.
- Collaborate with engineering leads and systems architects to evaluate technical trade-offs regarding system latency, scalability, and data consistency.
- Establish, track, and report on product success metrics, including API adoption rates, system uptime, developer friction points, and feature usage.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and technical scoping through deployment, developer beta testing, and global release.
- Facilitate regular prioritization sessions and sprint planning, maintaining a healthy, well-groomed backlog for a dedicated engineering team.
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of product management experience, specifically managing technical products such as APIs, developer platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong technical background with the ability to read code, write basic SQL queries, and understand modern system architecture (REST, gRPC, microservices).
- Proven track record of shipping technical products from concept to launch at scale.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Bonus: Experience with AWS services, developer portals, CI/CD pipelines, or API gateways (Apigee, Kong).
