Product Manager
About the role
Own the strategic leadership, growth, profitability, and long-term category strategy for the bacon portfolio. Develop and execute pricing, assortment, inventory, and margin optimization strategies to achieve annual profit and revenue objectives.
Partner with Sales, FP&A, Operations, and Planning teams to align forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and commercial execution. Serve as the primary category expert, providing market insights, product guidance, pricing recommendations, and sales strategies to drive business growth.
Lead product performance analysis, break-even modeling, customer reviews, and data-driven decision making to maximize category profitability. Negotiate and support customer pricing, trade agreements, RFPs, and assortment expansion initiatives in partnership with commercial leadership.
Monitor supply-demand balance, service levels, product specifications, and operational performance while building cross-functional processes that improve efficiency and category results.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of direct experience in bacon, pork, meat processing, or broader protein manufacturing industry, with deep category expertise
- Proven product management, category management, or business unit leadership experience with ownership of category growth and profitability
- Demonstrated P&L responsibility, including pricing strategy, margin management, inventory optimization, and revenue growth
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience leveraging syndicated market data (IRI, Nielsen, Circana, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree required
