About the role

The Smartphone Product Management team is responsible for product planning, category strategy, go-to-market execution, and lifecycle management for Samsung Galaxy smartphones in the U.S. market. The team partners closely with Samsung leadership, global product teams, carrier account teams, marketing, retail, and other cross-functional organizations to deliver successful products and maximize business performance.

This role will support the full Galaxy bar phone portfolio spanning the premium Galaxy S Series and the mass-market Galaxy A Series. The individual will analyze market dynamics, competitive activity, consumer needs, channel requirements, pricing, promotions, and product performance to help shape portfolio strategy and strengthen Samsung’s position across carrier, retail, and Unlocked channels. The role requires translating data and market insights into actionable recommendations supporting product positioning, channel differentiation, launch readiness, lifecycle optimization, and future portfolio planning.

Success in this role requires adapting to changing business conditions, challenging existing processes, and turning insights into actions that improve sell-out and maximize business results.

Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio strategy, product launches, and lifecycle management for Galaxy A and S Series.
  • Analyze sell-out, market trends, pricing, promotions, consumer behavior, and competitive activity.
  • Recommend actions to improve product positioning, channel performance, and business results.
  • Partner with Global and U.S. teams to communicate market requirements and influence portfolio decisions.
  • Improve product management processes to enable faster decisions, stronger execution, and greater efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, technology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or project-based work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, content development, or business decision-making.
