Responsibilities
- Analyzes design inputs to determine feasibility for intended application.
- Understands and applies appropriate customer, internal, federal, and industrial standards to designs.
- Maintains understanding of in-house, supplier, and customer manufacturing processes to ensure design compatibility.
- Prepares design specifications for each application.
- Counsults design issues for customers, internal manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Fully supports the NPDS process.
- Supports design issues for customers, internal manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Coordinates required development, sample builds, and validation testing of design.
- Provides design support to customers, suppliers, and in-house departments.
- Provides VA/VE ideas to support cost targets.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Less than 1 years of position-related experience; preferably 1-2 years of position-related experience.

About the Role
The Product Engineer B/C Role at NSK Steering Systems America (NSSA) is responsible for designing and developing steering column assemblies and intermediate shafts to meet customer requirements. This role involves utilizing standard EPS system designs, ensuring manufacturability input from suppliers and internal processes are considered, supporting design issues for customers, internal manufacturing, and suppliers, and fully supporting the NPDS process. Responsibilities also include analyzing design inputs to determine feasibility, applying appropriate standards, maintaining understanding of manufacturing processes, preparing design specifications, conducting design reviews, and coordinating development, sample builds, and validation testing.
