Product Engineer (Analog Design Environment)

About the role

The Product Engineer will serve as a Technical Evangelist for Cadence's Analog Design Environment (ADE) tools and Agentic workflows. This role involves providing expertise to leading customers, resolving their issues, and advocating for product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Articulate and demonstrate the technical advantages and capabilities of Cadence's solution to customers.
• Work with internal application engineers to resolve customer issues and provide next-level expertise.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and suggest product improvement ideas to the R&D team.
• Define and improve use models and user interfaces to enhance the usability and performance of the product.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• BSEE; MSEE preferred
• 3+ Years of experience with custom circuit design and simulation
• Previous experience with Virtuoso ADE tools a plus
• Familiarity with AI agents, Generative AI, and RAG implementations for LLMs
• Basic knowledge of SKILL and shell programming
• Strong desire to improve the product by driving fundamental customer requirements on usability and performance with the R&D team
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

Must be located in or near San Jose, CA, or willing to relocate (in-office position).
