Product Development Engineer (semiconductor/capital equipment)

About the Role
The RAPID division, a world-leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Design Engineer. This role focuses on managing high-priority escalations, driving continuous improvement in the escalation process, and leading engineering development projects for mask inspection products. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure execution and remove obstacles.
This role requires up to 20% international travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering development projects for mask inspection products in the RAPID division.
- Assess and evaluate risks, driving projects forward with attention to critical path.
- Communicate cross-functionally with diverse teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and service.
- Encourage and empower team members to achieve excellence in engineering rigor, reliability, usability, and customer focus.
- Identify bottlenecks and remove obstacles to enable the team to focus on value-add activities.
- Hold regular meetings between functional groups to ensure interdependencies are well understood and documented.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (preferred).
- BS degree and 3 years of work experience or MS degree and 2 years of work experience in a technical field (minimum).
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
- Curiosity and a disposition toward learning quickly beyond immediate knowledge.
- Track record of leading teams through influence rather than direct reporting lines.

Pay
Base pay range: $117,800.00 - $200,300.00 annually. Actual pay depends on job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location. KLA complies with all applicable federal and state minimum wage requirements.
