Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly documentation.
  • Design and implement production and test fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for improved quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance testing and inspection procedures.
  • Perform product and value engineering to improve design and performance.
  • Manage prototype builds, including scheduling, testing, and issue documentation.
  • Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues, such as fit and alignment, and drive necessary corrections.
  • Support production startup and ensure smooth transfer of engineering information to manufacturing.
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods and recommend process and tooling improvements.
  • Prepare operation sheets outlining assembly sequences and time standards.

Requirements

  • Process development expertise.
  • Mechanical design and engineering skills.
  • Experience with medical devices.
  • Proficiency in validation processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in process validation and history files management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $62.50/hr.
