Product Design Prototyper, Human Interface

Responsibilities

• Define and synthesize user requirements.
• Help establish design processes to align cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to strategic decisions, working with engineering and research teams.
• Design and create user experience prototypes and individually contribute to the feature set.
• Work with user research to user test and iterate on the prototypes.
• Give and solicit feedback from others to raise the quality and craftsmanship of the product.
• Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers and content designers, overseeing the implementation of the user experience.
• Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads.
• Clearly articulate design decisions to a vast set of internal stakeholders.
• Advocate for product design within Facebook.
• Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in shipping software products.
• Design skills and the proven experience to lead in cross-functional environments.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for user research.
• Experience to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
• Portfolio featuring examples of interaction and visual work.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in shipping software products.
• Design skills and the proven experience to lead in cross-functional environments.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for user research.
• Experience to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
• Portfolio featuring examples of interaction and visual work.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience coding in Unity with C# or C++.
• Experience working with researchers.
• Experience with building prototypes in short timeframes.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews).
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Benefits

• $139,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
