Product Data Scientist
About the role
As a Product Data Scientist at Bevi, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Beverage and Software product teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Measuring the incremental impact of new flavors launched by Bevi.
- Building the recommendation engine that determines what each Bevi machine should offer next.
- Partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to turn data into clear product roadmaps.
- Translating data and analytics into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Creating clear, informative dashboards to democratize product data.
- Collaborating with data engineering and software teams on data quality, tagging, and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Own analytics for Bevi-proprietary digital experiences, including the UI and the Well.
- Consult with Software on tracking structure and own the analysis showing what’s working and what’s not to inform the product roadmap.
- Own tracking and analytics for Bevi.co and Partner.co, including GA4 and tag management, to inform the product roadmap.
- Recommend the right analytics tools for web properties alongside GA4/GTM, such as session replay, self-serve data, testing, and heatmaps, in partnership with Product.
- Measure the incremental impact of new flavors, blending A/B testing with non-traditional methods where clean experiments aren’t possible.
- Build the flavor recommendation engine — models that identify the optimal flavor profile per machine (or cluster), within real constraints like weekly-max updates and required static options.
- Translate data and analytics into clear insights and recommendations.
- Create clear, informative dashboards and drive adoption to democratize product data.
- Partner with data engineering and software teams on data quality, tagging, and instrumentation.
Requirements
Requirements for this role include:
- 2-4 years of professional experience in product analytics, digital analytics, or data science.
- Strong hands-on experience with GA4 and tag management (e.g., GTM) — comfortable owning both the tracking implementation and the analysis built on top of it.
- Hands-on experience designing and analyzing experiments — A/B testing and non-traditional/quasi-experimental methods (e.g., pre/post, difference-in-differences, propensity score matching) for situations where clean randomization isn’t possible.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Hex).
- You use AI tools in your own workflow to move faster (e.g., exploratory analysis, code, documentation), and think about how to make product data accessible to AI tools as well as people.
- A proactive, go-getter mindset — you notice what needs to get built before you’re asked, and drive your own work to completion without needing to be chased.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications for this role include:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL and Python/R for querying, modeling, and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Hex).
- Experience with AI tools in your own workflow to move faster (e.g., exploratory analysis, code, documentation).
- Proactive and driven attitude towards noticing what needs to get built before being asked and driving it to completion.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
