Produce Lead → Production Supervisor

About the role

This position involves leading daily department operations in a retail store, primarily in the absence of the department manager. Responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring product quality and freshness, supervising staff, and maintaining a clean, organized department that meets company standards and goals.

Responsibilities

• Ordering and controlling inventory
• Validating received products
• Overseeing stocking and production tasks
• Managing product rotation and spoilage
• Implementing sales promotions
• Supporting staffing, training, performance management, and development of associates
• Communicating and executing flight plans, managing schedules, labor, and payroll
• Maintaining safety, food safety, cleanliness, and guest experience standards
• Participating in meetings, supporting department goals, and performing tasks in other departments as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Retail experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and leadership skills
• Knowledge of retail operations and management systems
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, highly desirable
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work in varied temperatures and environments
