About the role

The Procurement Team Lead position is a 'working manager' role within Rosendin, a leading EMPLOYEE-OWNED electrical contractor. This role oversees a work group responsible for procurement of various materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and mentor team members to meet or exceed performance goals and expectations.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Plan and execute procurement processes from pre-bid closeout to final award.
  • Manage and coach staff personnel, providing performance evaluations.
  • Contact suppliers for budgetary quotes and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Represent the company in supplier negotiations and formulate policies.
  • Monitor and oversee the competitive bid process, including RFPs and RFQs.
  • Qualify and evaluate suppliers for materials and equipment.
  • Lead aggregated sourcing events to drive procurement value.
  • Support estimating department by providing budgetary quotations.
  • Review and analyze supplier performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement procurement and contract management instructions.
  • Oversee material review process and ensure proper documentation.
  • Enter and approve invoices, resolve issues with vendors and accounts payable.
  • Manage third-party Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Ensure proper and timely credit for returned materials.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills and ability to mentor Procurement Agents and Sr. Procurement Agents.
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing requirements, and work under time pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and effective team player.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ electrical procurement experience.
  • Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Schedule
