About the role
The Procurement Team Lead position is a 'working manager' role within Rosendin, a leading EMPLOYEE-OWNED electrical contractor. This role oversees a work group responsible for procurement of various materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and mentor team members to meet or exceed performance goals and expectations.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Plan and execute procurement processes from pre-bid closeout to final award.
- Manage and coach staff personnel, providing performance evaluations.
- Contact suppliers for budgetary quotes and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Represent the company in supplier negotiations and formulate policies.
- Monitor and oversee the competitive bid process, including RFPs and RFQs.
- Qualify and evaluate suppliers for materials and equipment.
- Lead aggregated sourcing events to drive procurement value.
- Support estimating department by providing budgetary quotations.
- Review and analyze supplier performance metrics.
- Develop and implement procurement and contract management instructions.
- Oversee material review process and ensure proper documentation.
- Enter and approve invoices, resolve issues with vendors and accounts payable.
- Manage third-party Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Ensure proper and timely credit for returned materials.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
- Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong supervisory skills and ability to mentor Procurement Agents and Sr. Procurement Agents.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing requirements, and work under time pressure.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and effective team player.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ electrical procurement experience.
- Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Schedule
