Procurement & Supply Chain Sr. Buyer
Category Strategy
Support the definition and drive the implementation of the category strategy for SC services
Identify optimization levers across network design, rate structures, and supplier base
Ensure alignment with global procurement strategy and regional supply chain priorities
Sourcing & Negotiation
- Support or lead strategic sourcing events (RFPs, tenders, contract renewals)
Negotiate commercial terms, cost models, and service agreements
Establish and manage framework agreements and pricing mechanisms
Supplier Management
- Define and manage a robust supplier base, including scouting and qualification of new providers
Build structured relationships with key suppliers
Ensure service level adherence (OTIF, OSND, SC KPIs)
Stakeholder Management
- Act as key interface between Procurement and Supply Chain
Proactively manage internal stakeholders with clear communication and periodic alignments (cost closure meetings and QBRs)
Support operational teams in issue resolution and escalation handling
Contract & Performance Management
- Own contract lifecycle (negotiation, implementation, compliance)
Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and drive corrective actions where needed
Ensure continuity of supply and risk mitigation (capacity constraints, disruption management)
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Lead cost optimization and efficiency initiatives
Contribute to or lead cross-functional projects (S2P tools, transport optimization, network evolution)
Drive standardization and best practices across logistics procurement
Requirements
- 3+ years in Procurement, with strong exposure to:
Transportation
Customs brokers and Freight Forwarders
Warehousing / 3PL services - Proven experience managing suppliers and conducting negotiations
- Experience operating in North American logistics market
- Experience working in cross-functional supply chain environments
- Master of Microsoft Excel, PPT and SAP suite
- Bachelor degree required
Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $105,117 - 130,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
