About the role
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Support developing the supply chain for multiple space vehicle subsystems.
- Work closely with technical stakeholders to understand roadmap and synergies across platforms.
- Ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs of Blue Origin.
- Competent in Blue Origin Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote, perform cost analysis in support of proposals, and develop negotiation strategies.
- Construct various contracting types for major procurement activities, including long range procurement agreements, sourcing partnerships, continuous improvement initiatives, and enhanced efficiencies.
- Lead the identification, implementation, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements (e.g., Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)).
- Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved.
- Take ownership of the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices and resolve issues within this process.
- Lead the identification, implementation, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements (e.g., Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)) where mutually beneficial.
- Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
- Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
- Establish and track program metrics with strong analytical skills and data-driven approach.
- Leverage AI to augment processes and reporting.
- Earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, or related industry experience.
- Interpret and apply company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, ITAR/EAR, and SOX Compliance.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
- Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
- Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics.
- Leverage AI to augment processes and reporting.
- Earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships.
Qualifications
- Current active DOD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Access.
- Space industry experience.
- Prior operations or engineering experience.
