Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet organizational needs and budget constraints.
- Processing POs, Optimize inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages and manage efficient reordering.
- Monitor stock usage patterns and proactively anticipate future procurement needs.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure smooth receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
- Continuously seek cost reduction opportunities and improve procurement processes.
- Track expenditures, monitor budgets, and ensure procurement activities remain within financial parameters.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess the feasibility of small to medium-scale purchases or long-term contracts.
- Serve as the gatekeeper for vendor data, managing processes such as order confirmations, on-time delivery tracking, and non-conformance reporting.
- Co-Lead supplier relationship management (SRM), measure performance, and drive value creation.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate reliable suppliers.
- Sources goods and services to ensure the best combination of quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Help to maintain a robust supplier base to ensure consistent availability of required goods.
- Enhance procurement diversity by establishing relationships with diverse suppliers.
- Utilize procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage activities and maintain accurate records.
- Leverage data analytics to assess supplier performance, track trends, and optimize procurement strategies.
- Implement tools and help to manage supplier KPIs to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Oversee procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and activity tracking.
- Resolve operational issues such as billing discrepancies, freight adjustments, and insufficient data.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and achieve savings.
- Support complex RFPs, analyze spend data and market trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Support category managers by acting as a secondary liaison between procurement strategy and business stakeholders.
- Educate teams on procurement strategies, tools, and solutions to ensure alignment and performance.
- Regularly engage with internal customers to drive satisfaction, continuous improvement, and alignment.
- Provide updates to senior management, influencing decision-making and procurement policies.
- Support and co-implement global supply chain strategies for assigned categories, driving significant financial benefits.
- Support supplier reviews, scorecards, sustainability projects, and supplier innovation initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, product development, HR, legal, and operations teams, to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Science, Business, or related fields (equivalent experience considered).
- Understanding of CPSM and Six Sigma are a plus.
- Experience with AI is a strong plus.
- 4–6 years of procurement experience, including supplier negotiations, contract management, and category strategy development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems (i.e. Netsuite).
- Financial acumen and experience with supplier relationship management.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10–15%).
