Procurement Specialist
About the role
In this role, you will serve as a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DSV fulfillment site. Your responsibilities include ensuring commitments from various demand planning groups are met within agreed-upon product lead times, resolving delays in material provision, managing lead times of all purchase orders (POs), expediting POs as necessary, reviewing recommit processes, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring lead times of all POs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed-upon product lead times
- Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed-upon timeline
- Manage the lead times of all POs placed on behalf of the customer and report on agreed-upon lead times
- Expedite POs as needed
- Ensure the recommit process is followed as needed
- Review the backlog report and coordinate any exceptions with the supplier and review these re-commits and any rejected expedited requests
- Review the supplier's build/ship plans to ensure they meet commitments based on PO commit dates
- Review potential on-time shipment (OTS) issues to eliminate any orders shipping after the scheduled date or OTS, and document the issues and report on these issues weekly
- Manually schedule orders falling outside of the product's scheduled lead time with the supplier and identify reasons why product is not scheduled within lead time
- Maintain oversight of lead times of all POs, ensuring they are shipped within lead time and reporting on the lead time commitment obtainment, managing the process to correct any issues
Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, high school diploma program or equivalent required
- 2-4 years of related experience
