Responsibilities
- Manage work in a fast-paced environment on sourcing events of standard to medium criticality materials, equipment, and subcontracts sourcing events.
- Execute (purchase) of “Early Procurement” or pre-mobilization checklist sourcing events.
- Participate in Deal Development and support in estimating efforts, including issuing Request for Information (RFI’s).
- Lead in procurement execution for standard to medium criticality sourcing events, including:
- Conduct research and develop sourcing strategies for assigned items.
- Develop supplier lists and issue RFP packages, and RFP amendments accordingly, for various standard to high criticality/complex equipment, material and services at best value to Zachry.
- Conduct bidder conferences and coordinate discussions between bidders and technical personnel.
- Perform evaluation of proposals and conduct supplier negotiations.
- Write supplier recommendations that explain and support the source selection process and decision.
- Understand terms and conditions and contract formation.
- Negotiate award of contracts to suppliers.
- Support contract administration and subcontract management.
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor kick-off meetings.
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor close-out meetings.
- Scope and negotiate contract change orders and amendments.
- Participate in weekly procurement meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 0 years of related experience.
- Ability to work independently, think and plan ahead and bring issues to attention of management.
- Ability to operate Microsoft suite.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Productivity tools (Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) (preferred).
- Experience creating document templates and workflows in industry digital document approval platforms like DocuSign and Adobe Sign would be beneficial.
- Some travel may be necessary (25% or less when required).
Physical Demands
- Communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi-limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension.
- May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.
Work Environment
- Conservative corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace.
- Working out of cubicles near other various colleagues who are also in cubes.
- On-site café with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections.
- Sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the art equipment & weights.
- Outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volleyball court, soccer field.
- Clinic with a certified nurse practitioner.
- Office noise will be low and generally consist of cube neighbors’ phone-calls, conversations and/or laughter.
