Procurement Manager – Fuel Services provides enterprise-level sourcing leadership for a complex, high-value fuel-service category. This role owns multi-year category and supplier strategies, leads high-impact negotiations and transformation initiatives, and delivers sustained improvements in total cost of ownership, safety, quality, compliance, operational resilience, technology, and service performance. The senior manager serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, represents United in fuel-governing bodies and industry forums where appropriate, and provides functional leadership, coaching, and direction to fuel professionals.
Responsibilities
- Represent United in airport fuel committees, consortiums, governing bodies, and industry forums as assigned, including leadership, voting, negotiation, budget oversight, and stakeholder coordination responsibilities.
- Own and execute multi-year fuel category strategies across fuel-facility maintenance and operations, into plane fueling services and related services.
- Lead complex sourcing events and commercial negotiations, including multi-airport, multi-supplier, high-value, or operationally critical agreements.
- Direct supplier qualification, selection, contracting, transition
