Procurement Manager
About the role
The Procurement is responsible for leading and integrating purchasing, material planning, and production scheduling functions to ensure alignment with business goals, customer demand, and operational capacity. This role oversees procurement activities, supplier performance, and master production scheduling (MPS), while driving inventory optimization, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, reliability, and technical capability
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage supplier performance, including issue resolution, non-conformance, and corrective actions
- Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and bidding guidelines
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support production and business needs
- Develop and monitor procurement reporting systems and KPIs
- Lead development and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Translate MPS into material requirements and capacity plans
- Collaborate with operations and value stream teams on rough-cut capacity planning
- Monitor and adjust plans based on demand changes, constraints, and supplier performance
- Drive delivery assurance and on-time customer performance
- Oversee inventory levels, turns, and obsolescence mitigation strategies
- Align procurement and planning strategies to optimize inventory while supporting production
- Monitor material availability and mitigate shortages or excess
- Partner with operations, finance, and commercial teams to align supply chain strategies
- Participate in customer delivery and operations review meetings
- Communicate risks, constraints, and recovery plans to leadership
- Develop staffing and resource plans to meet future demand
- Lead, develop, and manage purchasing and planning teams
- Hire, train, and mentor team members
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- Drive process improvements across procurement and planning functions
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 USD
Target annual bonus of 20%
