Department Manager
About the role
The Department Manager - DC is responsible for managing and supporting assigned team members to achieve business and operational objectives in safety, accuracy, production, and inventory control in the Distribution Center (DC).
Responsibilities
- Establishes and executes plans to meet operational and organizational objectives.
- Ensures team members follow standard operating procedures and guidelines for internal and regulatory compliance.
- Identifies and resolves production and communication issues impacting operational success.
- Implements and executes processes for accurate inventory processing and delivery to customers.
- Affirms that all team members work safely and address safety and security concerns.
- Trains and provides necessary tools and resources for team members to achieve performance objectives and business goals.
- Grows and develops all direct reports, building a positive culture and environment prioritizing engagement, recognition, open communication, respect, and trust.
- Addresses performance, attendance, behavior, and conduct issues promptly through coaching, documentation, and corrective action as needed.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and make effective decisions or recommendations.
- Maintains confidentiality and sustains a respectful workplace while managing a flexible schedule including all days and shifts.
- Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be open/able to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College degree preferred.
- Any other related training/education is a plus.
Skills
- Demonstrates computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and WMS applications.
- Experience with labor management systems (LMS) is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and change management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including all days and shifts in support of business needs or special projects.

Pay
Total Base Pay Range For This Position: $58,000.00 - $77,000.00
This position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus based on performance.
