Procurement Manager
About the role
To thrive as a Procurement Manager, you’ll be a strategic and results-driven leader who excels at building strong supplier partnerships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring a reliable flow of materials that keep our business moving forward! You will play a significant role in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and MRO supplies while balancing cost, quality, and availability. Responsibilities
- Sourcing raw materials, packaging, and MRO supplies
- Developing efficient purchasing strategies
- Driving value through negotiation
- Maintaining inventory levels that support uninterrupted operations
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
- Analyzing purchasing data
- Managing vendor relationships
- Controlling departmental spending
- Finding opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Applying business insight, negotiation skills, and critical thinking to deliver value throughout the supply chain
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A strong preference for a degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or purchasing functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements, pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to achieve business objectives
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems, purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier performance management
- Advanced analytical, financial, and cost-management skills with the ability to interpret purchasing data and support pricing decisions
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Quality, R&D, and Marketing teams to support company initiatives
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and relationship-building capabilities combined with a talent for influencing internal and external collaborators
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software, with outstanding organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
