Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing of materials across all sites using Oscar — ensuring every site has what it needs without excess inventory that strains cash flow.
• Serve as the final check on SKU sheets before they reach suppliers — verifying every item is accurately described, correctly specified, and ready to order.
• Build deep, strategic supplier relationships — visiting them regularly and developing trust well beyond a transactional dynamic. The supply-side equivalent of the Strategic Account Manager's customer work.
• Maintain a supplier quality scorecard tracking performance, reliability, and quality across the supplier base.
• Work with suppliers to support Titan Batteries' AS9100 certification — ensuring supplier documentation, standards, and processes meet compliance benchmarks.
• Conduct ongoing risk analysis — identifying over-dependence on single sources, geographic risk, and supply chain vulnerabilities — and develop mitigation strategies.
• Pursue cost reduction through new supplier relationships and competitive sourcing without sacrificing quality.
• Lead negotiation of major supplier agreements — pricing, lead times, volume commitments, and terms.
• Recommend improvements to the Business Operating System Manager on how Oscar can better support procurement.
• Balance inventory needs against cash flow health — enough on hand to keep production running without tying up excess capital.

• Sku Sheet Literacy: Reads, interprets, and verifies SKU sheets with enough technical familiarity to catch errors before suppliers do.
• AS9100 Familiarity: Understands AS9100 requirements as they relate to supplier qualification and compliance.
• Supplier Scorecard Management: Experienced building and maintaining supplier performance tracking.
• Risk Analysis: Assesses supplier concentration, geographic exposure, and supply chain vulnerabilities and develops mitigation.
• Financial Awareness: Understands cash flow well enough to balance inventory investment against operational needs alongside the Accountant.
