Procurement Intern

About the role

Ecolab is seeking Procurement Interns to join our summer 2027 procurement internship program. This 11-week paid internship program, starting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027, offers valuable hands-on experience, strategic sourcing support, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement projects from planning through implementation, delivering measurable business results.
• Analyze spend, supplier, and market data to identify cost savings opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, align priorities, and drive successful project outcomes.
• Manage supplier interactions, including requesting quotes, evaluating pricing, and supporting negotiation activities.
• Compare current and proposed supplier pricing to identify value and optimize sourcing decisions.
• Build expertise within assigned categories and portfolios to support increasingly strategic procurement initiatives.
• Strengthen communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills while collaborating across teams and suppliers.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with data and skilled in Excel.
• Curious, agile, and willing to learn different systems and tools.
• A strong communicator with collaborative energy.
• Open-minded and not easily overwhelmed by multiple tasks or tools.
• Keen to develop stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Experience with data analysis and Excel.
• Ability to manage supplier interactions and negotiate effectively.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $65,800.00 - $98,700.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

Schedule

The 11-week internship program starts on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027.

Location

Positions are located in St. Paul, Minnesota or Naperville, Illinois. A hybrid work environment is offered, balancing office days with working remotely.
