About the role
The Procurement Expeditor manages open purchase orders from acknowledgment through final receipt, focusing on identifying and resolving delivery risks. They are the primary point of contact for supplier delivery status, maintaining accurate PO health data, and communicating deviations with clear proposed actions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve delivery risks before reaching the production floor
- Work recovery and pull-in options with suppliers on late or at-risk orders
- Present recovery recommendations to buyers and program stakeholders
- Coordinate with the receiving team on inbound delivery logistics
- Support invoice reconciliation when delivery-related discrepancies arise
- Maintain supplier accountability through consistent follow-through and documented communication
- Escalate unresolved risks through the appropriate channels
