Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Purchase Order maintenance.
- Oversee the bid and award process as part of the procurement team assigned to a project.
- Be the primary point of contact with Suppliers during the production phase on assigned projects.
- Provide status reports on assigned project as required.
- Cook up supplier documentation control for engineering projects, including certified drawings and final job books.
- Cook up quality audits of suppliers as necessary.
- Provide feedback to the Procurement team on supplier performance.
- Coordinate logistics support as necessary to support assigned project.
- Support accounts payable functions in supplier invoice approval.
- Compile and maintain status information to expedite movement of material and parts according to predetermined project schedules and priorities.
- Compile and maintain records such as supplier drawings or specifications to support an assigned project.
- Review commercial and technical capabilities of the supply base as required by the project.
- Confer with the procurement team to discuss changing schedule requirements.
- Utilize experience to expedite purchase products and services.
- Participate in all project team review processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- College courses toward degree in Business or Supply Chain Management are desirable
- Possession of a nationally recognized certification in Procurement or Materials Management or Business Management is desirable
- Two years of material management of purchasing or supply chain experience
- Two years of related procurement experience in an Engineering Services environment will be an alternative
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to move around the office to access files, office equipment, and attend meetings.
