Procurement Expeditor

Core Functions

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date order status within systems and tracking tools.
• Generate reports on open orders, delayed shipments, and supplier performance.
• Monitor all open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proactively follow up with suppliers on order status, lead times, and shipment updates.
• Identify potential delays early and drive resolution to maintain project schedules.
• Act as the primary point of contact for order status with suppliers.
• Confirm order acknowledgments, shipping details, and delivery timelines.
• Escalate issues as needed to ensure commitments are met.
• Provide clear, timely updates to procurement, warehouse, and field teams on order status.
• Ensure delivery expectations are communicated and aligned with project needs.
• Identify and resolve issues related to late shipments, backorders, missing items, or incorrect deliveries.
• Cross-coordinate with procurement, suppliers, warehouse, and AP to ensure invoice reconciliation discrepancies are corrected quickly and efficiently.

Knowledge

• High school or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or similar fields preferred
• Proficient in math, reading, and professional writing

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, expediting, or supply chain support
• Experience working with purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery coordination
• Exposure to warehouse operations, inventory flow, or jobsite material delivery preferred
• Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and vendors
• Familiarity with ERP systems and order tracking tools preferred
