About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing and supplier strategy across key logistics categories, including Ground Transportation, Warehousing, and Customs-related services.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the category strategy for assigned Logistics categories (Ground Transportation, Customs-related service and Warehousing), including sourcing strategy development, execution, and ongoing optimization in alignment with business objectives, while supporting other logistics scopes as needed.
- Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end sourcing activities for the assigned categories, including RFx development, supplier engagement, bid analysis, negotiations, and award recommendations using eSourcing tools (e.g. Keelvar).
- Analyze spend data, business requirements, and external market conditions to define sourcing strategies, identify savings and value opportunities, and mitigate supply and service risks within the assigned scope.
- Own supplier performance and category KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Lead commercial contract negotiations within approved frameworks in close collaboration with the Legal team.
- Act as the primary procurement point of contact for internal stakeholders for the assigned categories.
- Persistently partner closely with Logistics Operations, Accounts Payable, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and compliance.
- Lead supplier relationship management including supplier selection, qualification, governance, and performance management.
- Prepare and lead quarterly and bi-annual business reviews and supplier scorecards.
- Manage ad-hoc initiatives such as spot sourcing, exception handling, and urgent operational needs.
- Track and communicate category performance, risks, and market developments to management.
- Identify and implement process improvements within category sourcing and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Logistics-related roles.
- Experience leading RFx events and supplier negotiations for Logistics services.
- Experience using eSourcing tools preferred.

- Ability to manage a defined category end-to-end with limited guidance, demonstrating increasing independence.
- Solid negotiation and analytical skills for logistics procurement.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and results oriented.
