About the role

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet these requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

• Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
• Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements
• Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements
• Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

Requirements

• More than 1 year of experience in negotiating contracts or managing suppliers
• More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
• Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
• Position may require travel up to 25% of the time
• Relocation assistance is not provided; candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense
• Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status

Qualifications

Basic

• More than 1 year of experience in negotiating contracts or managing suppliers
• More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
• Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• More than 1 year of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
• More than 1 year of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
• More than 1 year of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts
• More than 1 year of experience with various contract types (e.g., Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts)

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $69,700 - $86,100.
