Processing Support Technician
About the role
The Processing Support Technician will operate as part of a team within a sterile environment working with donated human tissue. The primary responsibilities include providing support to Processing Technicians, maintaining a clean and microbe-free cleanroom area, handling chemical reagents and biohazardous waste, operating equipment for obtaining particle counts, and performing other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Supports Processing Technicians in a cleanroom environment
- Maintains cleanliness and sterility of the cleanroom area
- Safely handles chemical reagents and biohazardous waste
- Operates equipment for obtaining particle counts
- Accurately documents information in quality records
- Completes an extensive training program
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Two years of tissue banking, tissue recovery, manufacturing, surgical technician, or other closely related experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Routinely clean/disinfect clean room areas

Pay
The base pay for this position is $18.50/hour. Additional incentives are available for working night or weekend shifts.
Schedule
The Processing Support Technician will be required to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
