Processing Technician
About the role
As a Processing Technician at General Mills, you will support production and processing operations, sanitation, maintenance, and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality foods consumed nationwide every day
- Operate technology in a leading facility
- Work with experienced teams to share knowledge with new workers
- Challenged to complete tasks correctly and gain skills for future opportunities
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Operate various high-speed/high-tech processing equipment
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and collaborate with maintenance staff
- Execute HACCP/quality processes and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Train new employees
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred.
Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, climb, bend, push/pull, twist, work at heights, wear protective clothing and equipment, adhere to grooming requirements, and work in various environmental conditions.
Qualifications
Must be able to follow standard operating procedures and company safety policies.
Skills
Willingness to learn and apply new skills, ability to troubleshoot machinery issues, and strong attention to detail.

Pay
$30.10 per hour
Schedule
Rotating 6 weeks days/6 weeks nights, potential to go to rotating 12 hours (4 weeks nights and 12 weeks days)
Shifts: Day Shift: 6AM-6PM, Night Shift: 6PM-6AM
