About the role

This position manages the daily responsibilities of associates including scheduling, disciplining, conducting performance reviews, and recommending salary increases. It oversees the processing staff to ensure loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily responsibilities of associates including scheduling, disciplining, conducting performance reviews, and recommending salary increases.
• Oversees the processing staff to ensure loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provides training and daily assistance to Loan Processors.
• Facilitates regularly scheduled staff meetings to communicate information, motivate, train, and develop the team.
• Obtains all required exhibits, documents, and verifications upon receipt of complete loan application and resolves any discrepancies between applications and official verifications.
• Analyzes all documents to ensure adequacy of documentation and compliance with all requirements of the secondary market, governmental agencies, and investors as well as ensuring loans are compliant with all Federal and State regulations.
• Reads and analyzes financial information, including but not limited to tax returns.
• Prepares loan files for underwriting, ensuring compliance with established underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Notifies closing agents and borrowers of closing time and place.
• Ensures all procedures are handled as promptly and efficiently as possible and informs supervisor of any current or potential problems with any aspect of duties.
• Prepares reports on department activities as requested.
• Maintains open, honest, and timely communications and cooperation with immediate supervisor, management, and coworkers on a daily basis to promote teamwork, client goodwill, and achieve the bank’s goals and objectives.
• Engages in personal development activities such as BAI courses and internal/external training to assist in growing in career.

Requirements

• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Mortgage Loan Processing including FHA and VA experience.
• Management experience required.

Qualifications

• Computer knowledge in a Windows environment and working with a mouse.
• Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to review and understand a variety of resources and information including financial related information.
• Proofread and verify written materials.
• Operate a computer keyboard and adding machine.
• Read alpha and numeric information on a computer monitor screen.
• Ability to work independently, but also with others in a team environment.

Schedule

This department typically works Monday-Friday between 7am-5pm. This position can be hybrid once trained.
