Processing Lead, Launch Payload Processing Facility, Amazon LEO
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians as the subject matter expert on all processes within your area of responsibility
- Mentor and coach team and experience delegating tasks to team
- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Successfully lead process work and review for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
- Independently execute and prioritize work to meet production schedules
- Integration and test of the LEO satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
- Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive flight hardware
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other machines to move hardware
- Able to obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, and/or certifications as required
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and dial calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional testing on units, including some basic troubleshooting operations
- Use computer software programs for performing tests
- Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport & must meet customs entry requirements to include but not limited to: Yellow Fever vaccine and other immunization requirements as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Able to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrical systems
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings
- Experience working with Foreign Object Debris (FOD), ESD sensitive hardware, and in a clean room
- Experience with forklifts, cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)
- Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
