About the role
Amazon LEO Payload Processing Facility (PPF) is seeking an experienced logistics professional to assist with daily activities such as writing and reviewing team-related SOPs, managing shipments, executing global trade and transportation management software requirements, providing guidance, tracking inventory, and coordinating trailer or container movements.
Responsibilities
- Write, review, and provide feedback on team-related SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities at the PPF
- Receive Amazon LEO managed and supplier shipments
- Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material
- Execute functional requirements of global trade and transportation management software requirements
- Provide guidance and expertise in logistics related discussions
- Accurately track and account for all inventory located at the PPF warehouse to include cycle counts
- Efficiently deliver material to PPF stakeholders, both physically and virtually
- Cook trailer or container movements within the PPF Yard
- Meet operational metrics related to warehouse receiving and inventory activities
- Effectively communicate high priority matters with Transportation leadership
- Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules
- Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand cart
- Standardize warehouse and logistics processes
- Interface with with other teams and stakeholders to design and implement project solutions
- Train employees in standard warehouse tasks using ERP systems
- Role requires up to 25% travel
Requirements
- 3+ years of supply chain management, production planning, capacity planning or manufacturing operations experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
- Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
- Valid Driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport
- Ability and willingness to comply with the Government of French Guiana which mandates that travelers receive vaccinations for yellow fever
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience, or Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or related field
Qualifications
- Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience in team leadership
- Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience with end-to-end project management
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization and logistics or equivalent
- Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $62,600.00 - $109,600.00 annually.
