About the Role
The Processing Lead assists the Supervisor Processing and Senior Assistant Manager in store operations, personnel management, and financial performance. This role is also responsible for training and supporting store staff to ensure the store successfully meets expectations.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage collections to ensure proper processing and separation of incoming donations.
- Maximize used goods processing using the Kaizen system, including sorting, preparing, and pricing items for sale.
- Ensure production goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Drive maximum sales performance through weekly merchandise rotation and meeting or exceeding established production goals.
- Ensure the store consistently meets or exceeds sales goals.
- Generate and maintain all store reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) with current and accurate records.
- Ensure stockroom production targets are met for textiles and hard goods based on established goals.
- Minimize waste from production processes.
- Fully train and cross-train all levels of store personnel to ensure efficient performance of all store functions.
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all shoppers, donors, and employees.
- Properly manage all store employees.
- Maintain a clean and orderly store processing area, ensuring good housekeeping and a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between donations, production, and sales.
