Process Technician II
About the role
The Molding Technician is responsible for basic and advanced equipment and process set-up, changeovers, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and basic repair and rebuild. Equipment includes Injection Molding Machines and associated ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions of a Technician Level I.
- Repair or replace valves, replace granulator cutting knives, replace belts.
- Process servo error corrections and load cell calibrations of electric machines.
- Repair hydraulic valves and oil leaks; troubleshoot electrical machines.
- Perform parts picker troubleshooting and repair; balancing mold hot runner systems.
- Train Level I technicians; assist Engineering with trials inspection.
- Initiate corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Perform mid-level adjustments and repairs on machines.
- Enter work orders and requests.
- Follow 5S standards and support further standards development.
- Cross trained in at least one other functional area.
- Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, or GED with 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience; or Technical Certificate with up to 3 years of experience.

- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
- Strong mechanical ability and analytical skills.
- Sound judgment in the execution of technical/troubleshooting issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to facilitate communication at various levels and areas within the organization.
- Understanding of computers and computerized controls.
- Ability to learn new technologies; understand and perform continuous improvement activities.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
