Process Support Coordinator
About the role
The Process Support Coordinator will support the Process Innovation (PI) Team in implementing and maintaining business processes and system solutions related to shipyard production operations. This role assists with coordination between departments, supports system implementation activities, and helps ensure effective adoption of new systems and processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules, and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed.
- Support the implementation and ongoing operation of SAP and Non-SAP systems.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and system improvements.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, procurement, production, finance, and IT teams during project implementation.
- Monitor project progress, document results, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders and management.
- Support organizational change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, process transition planning, and user adoption strategies.
- Perform communication, training, and documentation efforts to help users successfully adopt new systems and workflows.
- Track project activities, prepare status updates, and support reporting for management.
- Assist the PI team in identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of ERP systems such as SAP or similar business systems.
- Basic domain knowledge of manufacturing, shipbuilding, or heavy industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Strategic thinking with a passion for innovation and change management.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to evolving environments.
- Willingness and ability to work independently and as a team member.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in ERP systems, business process support, or operations support roles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) in manufacturing, shipbuilding, or heavy industry is preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operational processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-departmental projects and communicate technical information effectively.
Work Environment
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes, and smoke. Work may be executed indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions. Hanwha Philly Shipyard is a tobacco-free facility.

This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department and are determined by department schedules.
