About the role

As a Process Improvement Technician in Arconic's Sheet Finishing Department, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of manufacturing, process engineering, and production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement Lean Manufacturing principles across the department’s material flow paths and gain a complete understanding of the area's manufacturing process.
  • Primarily focus on tactical projects in the areas of safety, recovery improvement, training, and production.
  • Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects and reliability excellence.
  • Support and lead the execution of problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
  • While this role primarily works daytime shifts Monday through Friday, the incumbent must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • 8 years of previous manufacturing experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R.730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with aluminum casting process.
  • Experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience identifying and assisting in resolving process-related problems.
  • Ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience).
