Process Engineer – Transformer Factory (Greenfield Build)
About the role
Join Siemens Energy at the ground level of a brand-new, state-of-the-art Transformer Manufacturing Facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a rare opportunity to help build a factory from the ground up, shape manufacturing processes, and play a critical role in establishing a world-class operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across manufacturing operations
- Design, implement, and optimize processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement and global standardization across production workflows
- Champion innovation through digital tools, automation, and decarbonization initiatives
- Conduct risk assessments and implement actions to ensure process reliability and performance
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years (5+ preferred) of experience in medium or large power transformer manufacturing
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, or industrial operations
- Licenses and certifications: Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
- Skills: Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred), knowledge of TPM and OEE

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
