Responsibilities
- Assess and set-up production infrastructure and production process flow.
- Manage NPI introduction process and production documentation management to include:
- WO BOM Validation
- Shop Floor Control System Routing
- Production flow diagrams, work instructions, pack out instructions, and similar.
- Calculate task time and workforce requirements.
- Accountable for Change Order Management to include:
- Assess, document, and communicate all production floor and/or customer-driven changes
- Coordinate ECN phase in/cut in process
- Control ECN/ECO Documentation
- Control Manufacturing Notice Documentation
- Update all applicable work instructions
- Responsible for production training in the areas of NPI, ongoing KPIs, and ECNs.
- Provide detailed status reports to internal core team managers and, when applicable, customers.
- Meet with production managers to ensure processes are followed and collaborate to adjust and improve them.
- Perform risk assessments to determine improvements for smooth and efficient facility operations.
- Responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure compliance in the manufacturing environment.
- Work on complex problems requiring analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors, interacting with leadership across functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- Guide project completion, conduct technical tasks, and set specific technical strategy and direction for self and/or others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering.
- Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
Skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems.
- Effective in time management and delegation.
- Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis.
- Capable of managing multiple projects.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving business and team environment.
- Attention to detail and highly motivated.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced work environment.
- Certain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.
- Extensive use of computer equipment and frequent telephone activity.
- Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.
- Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Employees must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by Company policy.
