Major Responsibilities

  • Experimental design and execution for process and formulation trials
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Manufacturing support for process deployment or continuous improvement including night or weekend shifts if required
  • Writing and editing SOPs and other process or equipment documentation
  • Training operations team members on SOPs
  • Collaborate with operations and R&D on product development testing
  • Root cause analysis and risk assessment of manufacturing processes and/or equipment
  • Conducts safety and risk assessments for proposed and current equipment and processes
  • Conducts commissioning support for new equipment and process changes
  • Provide troubleshooting support to operations and maintenance in instances of upset conditions or machine failures
  • Participate in on-call Pager Duty system for night shift support

Qualifications

  • 5 + years industrial experience in Process Engineering
  • BS in Engineering (or related STEM field) or similar professional experience
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Detail oriented with high sense of urgency and positive attitude
    • Development and Application of Statistical Process Control for new processes
    • Proficient in interacting with SQL databases
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
    • Able to stay on task with minimal supervision
    • Able to learn new process and develop new skills
    • Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
    • Self-motivated to take initiative and able to function independently
    • Demonstrated team player with the ability to work cross-functionally
    • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
