About the role

The Process Engineer II role is aimed at providing technical leadership to operate a major asset (typically with annual revenue between $50MM to $200MM) at target output, material and energy usage while meeting product specifications. Key responsibilities include establishing a process for data collection, auditing, and preventive maintenance, applying methodologies like RCCA analysis, 5 Whys, and the JM Solve-It method or 6 Sigma, leading process optimization, and collaborating with electrical engineers and specialists to develop and implement process models.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements through continuous analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain standard control processes and operating procedures.
  • Create and manage process set points for various product types using management tools such as set-up sheets in MII and SOPs.
  • Support safety performance by fostering safe behaviors and improving the JM safety culture.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve technical issues and share findings with the technical community.
  • Lead process redesign efforts during rebuilds or major investment projects.
  • Provide on-site support during construction and startup phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science with at least 3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including complex data analysis.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to lead key projects to successful completion.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) for process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to set and communicate expectations to team members.
  • Collaboration skills, including the ability to interact with a broad range of employees.
  • Timely decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various environmental conditions.

Pay

$94,100.00 - $129,400.00 Annual

Pay Range

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
