Responsibilities
- Review Furnace Heat Charts (combination of paper and digital) and compile time-at-temp requirements and generate thermal processing reports for Quality Certification.
- Lead engineering projects to enhance furnace data acquisition, chart accuracy, and long-term process traceability.
- Maintain Furnace Temperature Uniformity Survey Program.
- Oversee secure storage, retention, and retrieval of short- and long-term furnace records to ensure audit readiness.
- Provide technical guidance for operations on furnace quality requirements, customer specific heat treat specifications, and industry standards such as AMS 2750.
- Partner with Process Engineering, Quality, and Metallurgy teams to interpret thermal-processing data and ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science, Metallurgical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering specifications, thermal-processing data, and pyrometry requirements.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Ability to work on-site in a heavy-industrial environment and comply with all safety requirements.
- Comfortable using power tools, measurement devices, and industrial equipment during furnace surveys and calibration activities.
- Ability to pass vision test requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data-analysis tools to manage and evaluate process data.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or metals-processing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, AMS 2750, and related quality-system requirements.
- Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other structured continuous-improvement methodologies.

Pay
$65,000 to $85,000 annually + variable additional compensation opportunities.
