Process Engineer Co-op Fall 2026

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with the process and quality engineering group to support safety, quality, maintenance and production processes.
• Learn and use process tools such as Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement and Lean Six-Sigma tools including 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control and Value Stream Mapping.
• Interact with the plant as part of the daily routine.
• Lead small projects for improvement of a process or equipment.
• Collect data for process waste reduction.
• Edit or create P&IDs.
• Work alongside Process Engineers on Capital Expense Projects.
• Conduct meetings to communicate information or collaborate on projects.
• Serve as a back-up for the Quality Lab.

Interaction with the Plant

Some responsibilities include leading small projects for process or equipment improvement, collecting data for process waste reduction, editing or creating P&IDs, working alongside Process Engineers on capital expense projects, conducting meetings to communicate information or collaborate on projects, and serving as a backup for the Quality Lab.

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma is required.
• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical focus preferred).
