Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and design specifications.
• Select and build necessary tools.
• Set up machinery and code new and modify existing G & M code.
• Monitor machinery runs and generate improvement ideas.
• Work with Quality to review tooling performance and make improvements.
• Collaborate with management and other Setup Engineers to implement improvements.
• Review and analyze SPC data to make quality and production decisions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years setup experience on CNC Mills.
• Strong G & M coding skills.
• Self-directed and motivated.
• Proven programming experience on Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, including geometric tolerancing.
• Open to working overtime.
• Must be able to communicate, read, and write in English.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.

Physical Requirements

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
• Responding to public address system announcements.
• Walking and standing.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Environmental Job Requirements

• Frequent exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional drafts and temperature changes due to open doors.
• Slippery floors during wet weather conditions.
• Handling parts with sharp edges.
• Exposure to gas fumes from forklifts.
• Handling hazardous materials.
• Occasional outdoor work.
