Process Engineer

About the role

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Project Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. The ideal candidate should have a DOE Q Clearance or DOD Equivalent clearance for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide Project Engineering support and coordination for various projects across Commercial, Infrastructure, Production Modernization, and/or Production Stockpile projects.
• Provide Project Engineering support necessary to complete planning, design and implementation of new machine tools and/or infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to other multi-disciplined engineering teams as requested for high profile plant initiatives.
• Apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.
• Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects.
• Establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Professionally coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel.
• Review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when required.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) from an ABET accredited school in a technical discipline, plus 10 years or more of direct experience, or an Master's or Doctoral degree with 10 plus years of experience.
• A DOE Q Clearance or DOD equivalent is highly preferred in consideration for this position.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements.

Skills

• Technical expertise in Project Engineering.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
• Experience with ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
