Responsibilities / Tasks
- Evaluate and improve on processes for assigned GEA Markets, with the emphasis of GEA mechanical separation technology.
- Startup and commission GEA centrifuge equipment.
- Support Sales Initiatives in developing innovative solutions for customers.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Prepare and process samples for spin down studies and facilitate Design of Experiments for further testing and product development.
- Collect, record, and transcribe data in detailed reports.
- Maintain testing equipment as required and needed for job responsibilities.
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process (both upstream and downstream of GEA equipment).
- Train customers on proper and safe use of GEA equipment.
- Train other GEA team members on both equipment and processes.
- Work with Project Engineering to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions for future projects.
- Works effectively in an interdisciplinary work environment.
- Read/interpret P&IDs, General Arrangement (Mechanical Drawings), Electrical Schematics, and other engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in machine/system control systems.
- Utilize Rockwell Programming software to make minor edits to programs, collaborate with Automation Engineers, and support startups.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of industry experience (preferably in the renewable or environmental industries).
- Rockwell Programming Experience (a plus).
