Process Engineer
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate coal-fired or gas power plant equipment and systems.
- Oversee power plant pollution control processes such as FGD, SCR, ESP, Fabric Filters, MATS, and SO3.
- Utilize plant information systems/software and remote monitoring tools effectively.
- Work independently in the field, demonstrating the ability to take initiative.
- Be accountable for multiple plants and/or systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Monitor performance and identify issues, implementing solutions as needed.
- Troubleshoot systems and equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct site walk downs and equipment inspections regularly.
- Collaborate with OEM designers such as GE, URS, and Mitsubishi as needed.
- Provide outage support, and assist in inspections and repair planning.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
- Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience with coal-fired or gas power plant equipment and systems.
- Proficiency in power plant pollution control processes such as FGD, SCR, ESP, Fabric Filters, MATS, SO3.
- Strong proficiency with plant information systems/software and remote monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in the field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to work productively in a plant environment.
- Ability to quickly understand new processes and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Experience with OEM designers such as GE, URS, and Mitsubishi preferred.
- Experience with outage support, inspections, and repair planning.
Skills

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in a related field. An accredited Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, although other degrees will be considered. This role requires expertise in power plant equipment and systems, especially in coal-fired or gas power plants, and proficiency in power plant pollution control processes.
