About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving assembly (packaging) processes within a manufacturing environment. They should have a deep understanding of various electronic packaging processes and be familiar with one or more of the following: wire bonding, solder attach, polymer dispensing, transfer molding, trim and form, writing work instructions and PFMEA, statistical process control charts, automotive supplier manufacturing, etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and improve assembly (packaging) processes
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements based on data analysis
- Write and maintain work instructions and PFMEA documents
- Conduct statistical process control chart analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in electronic packaging processes
- Experience with wire bonding, solder attach, polymer dispensing, transfer molding, trim and form processes
- Strong knowledge of work instructions, PFMEA, and statistical process control charts
- Experience in automotive supplier manufacturing environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
