Procedural Advanced Practice Provider (APP)- Interventional Radiology- 40hr Days

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. The Interventional Radiology department is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our procedural team.

About the role

This is a Monday–Friday position with no weekends, holidays, or call, offering a strong work-life balance. The APP will be fully integrated into the operational/procedural APP team and will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered interventional care.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs a variety of image-guided procedures, such as vascular access device placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and related procedures, in collaboration with interventional radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Performs history and physical examinations, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests, and provides education to patients and their families.
• Acts as an educator and serves as a clinical resource for staff through consultation, formal and informal education, review of literature, and participation in seminars and conferences.
• Coordinates the care of patients to provide safe, effective, efficient, and timely patient-centered care.
• Liaises between visiting nurses, clinical staff, and consult services to ensure care plans encompass the entire service.
• Consults with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnoses.
• Documents clinical encounters clearly, precisely, and in a timely manner.
• Works in a collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and families.
• Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Current MA licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on procedural experience in an acute care or interventional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, procedural environment.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant required.
• License: Physician Assistant License required.
• Registration: DPH Drug Control required.
• Certificate: Basic Life Support required.
• Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in a clinical environment.

• Age-Based Competencies: Employees in this job must be competent to provide patient care to the following age groups: Neonatal (Birth to 6 months), Young adult (16-30 years), Middle Age (30-60 years), Elderly (60+).

Physical Nature of the Job

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $133,120.00 USD - $230,000.00 USD. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
