Problem Resolution Specimen Coordinator

About the role

The Problem Resolution Specimen Coordinator assists department management and conducts audits of all Specimen Processing processes to ensure high standards in quality and compliance. They function proactively in a problem resolution capacity, identifying and solving issues related to specimen processing and testing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts audits of Specimen Processing processes to maintain high standards in quality and compliance.
• Collaborates with various departments to research and resolve issues, expedite specimen testing and result reporting.
• Maintains confidentiality and has access to employee and department performance data.
• Interprets specimen flow/tracking data and collaborates with IT and Sales on interfaces and technical issues.
• Manages projects that drive quality metrics, including auditing EMR requisitions and managing client interfacing roles.
• Provides feedback to supervisors and managers when problems arise.
• Extracts and analyzes data using Excel and Word applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in Problem Resolution Tech/Group Leader or related role.
• Minimum of three years lab experience, preferably in a production environment.
• Medical background preferred, including medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Previous data/analytics experience.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods, work in a biohazard environment, and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, maintaining composure under pressure, and demonstrating good judgment.
• Strong interpersonal skills fostering a positive environment and flexibility.
